  • Technology partnership with a term of eight years agreed
  • Replacement and installation of 29 ultrasound systems
  • Improved patient care

Siemens Healthineers has entered into a technology partnership with the Klinikum Landkreis Erding in the field of ultrasound devices. The contract provides for the replacement of the entire ultrasound equipment in all departments over the next eight years. Siemens Healthineers is responsible for the supply, installation, training and service of the 29 new systems. The hospital benefits from a homogeneous range of equipment with uniform operating concepts. This is intended to ensure high-quality patient care as well as efficient medical operations. The contract term of the technology partnership is at least eight years with an option to extend it for two years.

"The technology partnership with Siemens Healthineers is a further investment in improving the quality and securing the future of the hospital. This gives us state-of-the-art ultrasound systems in various technical designs. This guarantees us consistent device quality and availability as well as uniform operation of the systems and thus higher diagnostic quality for the benefit of patients," says District Administrator Martin Bayerstorfer.

Peter Eckert, Head of Ultrasound for the Central Western Europe (CWE) region at Siemens Healthineers, says: "We are very proud of the trust placed in us and look forward to a successful cooperation with the Erding District Hospital. In recent years, we have continuously expanded our ultrasound portfolio and trimmed it for competitiveness. This demonstrates our commitment to offering a new level of versatility that increases diagnostic accuracy for users and patients."

The Klinikum Landkreis Erding is a municipal hospital providing basic and standard care with 330 inpatient beds and 12 outpatient places in the pain day clinic. With two locations in Erding and Dorfen and over 1,100 employees, the hospital is the largest municipal employer in the Bavarian district of Erding. In addition, the hospital is an academic teaching hospital of the Technical University of Munich and the location for two vocational schools for nursing and nursing assistants.
